As the bride and groom, you want to make sure your wedding music is perfectly coordinated with the biggest moments of the Big Day itself. How do you do that, though? How do you achieve the perfect timing for your wedding songs? We have some tips for you – so read on and find out more.
- First of all, you will need a song for the processional. These tunes are usually light, beautiful, filled with happiness, but they are not necessarily extremely energizing (although this is your wedding – ergo, you set your own rules when it comes to the music you play). In general, the processional song should last for approximately 4 minutes or more (depending on how large your wedding party is).
- For your walk down the aisle, remember to choose a song that’s meaningful for you. Unless you are constricted by the church you are having your wedding at, you have plenty of choices when it comes to this song – and they range from the classic Bridal March, up to Nothing Else Matters (Metallica).
- Remember to choose a song for the recessional too – this should be high-energy and up-lifting, so that it gets people in the mood for the party to come. Plus, the song should be coordinated with the joyous vibes floating in the air after the big “I Do”.
- As for your First Dance song, try to keep it around 3 minutes – with all the other special dances and moments sprinkled throughout the evening, you want to make sure you offer your guests a sweet, romantic moment (and not something that’s overly prolonged).
